Dartboard Measurements |
|
First in setting up your dartboard you need to make sure that you have plenty of room to play comfortably. You will want about a 10' x 10' area. You can do it in a smaller area but it will be tight. In setting up your dartboard you first need to find an open wall that is free of nice expensive things like pictures, vases, windows, etc. You would hate to have any of these things broken by a stray dart. If at all possible try and get a board that comes in a cabinet. It is well worth it because it will catch most of the stray darts that are thrown.
Find a stud in the wall so your board will be strong on the wall and not just hanging by drywall. :P
You will want the middle of the bulls eye to be 5' 8" from the floor. If you have a cabinet dartboard you might have to do some extra measuring. Then once you have your new dartboard up on the wall you will want to measure 7' 9 1/4" from the face of the board out.
This is going to be your throw line. Now that you have your dartboard set up and your throw line down all you have left to do is PLAY DARTS!!!
